Layout Boat Hunts

We deploy the layout boats to target Sea Ducks and Diver Ducks. Sea Ducks include White winged Scoter, Common Scoter, and Surf Scoter. The Diver Ducks we harvest primarily Canvas Backs, Blue Bills, Buffle Head with the occasional Red Head and Golden Eye. We hunt 2 at a time and rotate after a limit or every 90 minutes. For groups of 5 or more we will hunt 3 at a time. Minimum of 3 hunters, Max of 6 Hunters ($280 per hunter). Deposit of 50% of total hunt cost required. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Bay Raider Outfitter reserves the right to cancel if weather makes conditions to dangerous to hunt. If weather forces a cancellation, your deposit will be held, you will be rescheduled for the current season or have the choice to immediately reserve your dates for the following season. Body Boot Hunting

Experience traditional upper bay gunning with a body boot hunt! This method of hunting has a rich history on the Susquehanna Flats and we carry on the tradition for everyone to enjoy. A mixture of Puddle Ducks and Diver Ducks are very common. You never know what you are going to get with the mighty Flats. I recommend October/November dates for hunters who cannot handle the brutal cold of the winter but still want an awesome gunning experience like no other. Teal, Spoon Bills and a mix of other Puddle Ducks are common in October. Mixed bags of puddles and first push divers are expected in the November split. Those hunters seeking diver ducks especially the trophy Canvas Back, 3rd Split December- January dates are the best. Hiding in plain site behind silhouettes you will experience the rush of decoying birds over open water with the bonus of a beautiful open water landscape. Minimum of 4 hunters, Max of 6 hunters($340 per hunter). A 50% of total hunt cost is required. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. We will soon be offering New Jersey Hunting Trips for Brant, along with boat blind hunts in Maryland. We recognize the need for easy hunts that everyone of all ages can participate. Body Booting and Layout Boating are tough for youth and our older hunters. We want to cater to everyone no matter, age or physical status and aim to do so through boat blind an/or Scissor rig hunts.
