The Upper Chesapeake Bay, Susquehanna River and Susquehanna Flats are excellent places for birders and lighthouse enthusiasts. The lower Susquehanna has the 3rd largest concentration of Bald Eagles in the USA. The Ospreys invade every spring and build nests in the surrounding tree lines and underneath the bridges. There is no shortage of raptors flying in the skies. We have many light houses in the Upper bay as well. Concord Point, Shad Battery, Turkey Point, and Poole’s Island just to name a few.
